Abstract
The objective of this study was to evaluate the cumulative effect of docks on tidal creek and salt marsh ecosystems. the study was composed of three parts: a spartina shading study which evaluated the impacts of dock shading on the dominant marsh plant ; a small tidal creek study which evaluated dock impacts on small creek nursery habitats ; and a large tidal creek study which evaluated dock impacts on larger tidal creek nursery habitats.
