Abstract

From Waste to Wealth: The Beauty of Exudate Gums deals with the possibility, physicochemical and structural discovery of new gums in our forests which are unnoticed and unutillized. Billion of dollars is lost to this anually. Non tinber forest products (NTFP) are well known worldwide for their contribution to local and national economy. Over 50% of India's forest income and 70% of India's forest revenue are derived from NTFP. This products because of their excellent properties such as solubility, thickening, binding, viscosity, emulsifying etc, are been utilized in several applications most importantly in food and pharmaceuticals.
