Abstract
In Reply: We greatly appreciate the comments from the group in Brazil. We agree that there is a correlation between Menière's disease and the underlying temporal bone anatomy that may be contributing to the disease process. Our study demonstrated narrower and longer vestibule measurements, with the vestibular aqueduct often difficult to ascertain radiographically. These findings are congruent with previous studies, which altogether may be suggestive of a compressed inner ear. However, the true relationship between temporal bone structure and vestibule function in Menière's disease has yet to be entirely elucidated and further investigations are certainly warranted.
