Abstract
ABSTRACT SONYA IRENE ARITONANG. Community Participation in Village Tourism Management. Supervised by ANNA FATCHIYA. Village tourism is a residential area where there are various village attractions to get closer to the village culture, as well as the activities of the village community. Village tourism has a special feature of participatory management by local people. It is important that a tourism village area can be sustainable and beneficial to the surrounding community. This paper aims to analyze the shape and benefits of community participation in tourism village management. The method used in the preparation of this literature study is the method of analysis on secondary data relevant to the literature topic. The result of this literature study reveals that community participation in tourism village management is influenced by internal and external factors, so that the level of participation of each individual in society also varies depending on the amount of people's expectation in getting the economic and socio-cultural benefits to be achieved.
