Abstract

A one person exhibition in Arcadia Missa's New York space. This exhibition brought together four large scale painted silk pieces ('Interpret My Dreams', 'The Mountain','What Is Time?', 'Unconscious Narrative') and a painting on canvas ('Self Reflection'). The work uses text and image to explore the reflective space of internal narratives and ruminate on how the personal becomes political. The works in the exhibition, shown in the USA fr the first time, had previously been exhibited in Germany, The Freud Museum, London, MAC International, Belfast and Amsterdam. 'Unconscious Narrative' was selected from this exhibition for inclusion in 'Virginia Woolf', a group exhibition at Tate St Ives in 2018, touring to Pallant House Gallery and Fitzwilliam Museum.
