Abstract
The present investigation was conducted at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel University of Agriculture & Technology-Meerut, to screen out the suitable cultivars of pomegranate for western UP on the basis of flowering behaviour. Out of eight cultivars studied, earliest flowering was recorded in cv. Jalore Seedless, while cultivar Mridula flowered very late among the pomegranate cultivars. The earliest full bloom was also observed in cv. Jalore Seedless followed cv. Arakta and cv. G-137, while cv. Mridula full bloomed very late.
