Abstract

This paper design of wireless base station based on Atheros AR9344 chip which improved communication bandwidth, distance and signal intensity. This base station supports double frequency at 2.4GHz and 5GHz, and its communication speed is about 300Mbps. We tested and optimized the base station in Lab. Finally we tested the base station in Lab and underground mine, the comprehensive test result showed that the base station can satisfy wireless communication requirements for mining, and it can provide communication capability no less than 2000 meters in mine roadway, which has dramatically increased the level of mining wireless communication technology.
