Abstract
This thesis deals with Euthanasia or palliative Its aim was to determine whether our society is ready to legalize euthanasia and knows impacts of such decision. It describes history of euthanasia and summarizes all arguments for and against the legalization. The thesis also specifies palliative care as a possible replacement to euthanasia. In addition, it describes history of death and dying from the Middle Ages to the present. The last part of this thesis was devoted to research methodology related to the medical staff and its attitude to euthanasia and palliative care.
