Control Químico de thrips tabaci lindeman en allium cepa l. en Pacanguilla, La Libertad

The present work of investigation titled CHEMICAL CONTROL OF Thrips tabaci Lindeman IN Allium cepa L. IN PACANGUILLA, THE FREEDOM. It was carried out in the fields of the farmers who sow Cebolla, located in the town of Pacanguilla, La Libertad. The general objective of this research work was: To carry out the study of the chemical control of thrips tabaci Lindeman in Allium cepa L in PACANGUILLA, LA LIBERTAD. The evaluated parameters were: Insecticides used, dosage of application, moment of application, frequency of application, cost of chemical control and yield of the crop, said data were obtained through the application of a survey. With respect to the results, we can conclude that the farmers of Pacanguilla, currently have a strong pest pressure one of them is the thrips tabaci Lindeman in the cultivation of Onion, which leads to make excessive applications of insecticides and even make mixtures , it is also concluded that the yields are affected by the strong incidence and damage of the insect, which is caused by the lack of knowledge and information on the part of the farmers regarding the management and control of the insect pest. That is why the importance of this study is based on the fact that the real problem of the use of insecticides for the control of thrips tabaci Lindeman was identified; which will serve as a baseline for establishing integrated pest management programs in the onion crop in the Pacanguilla area.
