Abstract

Seven treatments and five different concentrations were used viz. glyphosate @ 2 kg/ha, glyphosate @ 3 kg/ha, glyphosate @ 3 kg/ha (Market sample), paraquat dichloride 24 SL (2.5 L/ha), glyphosate 41 SL (3 L/ha), hand weeding (At the time of herbicide application & 30 days after 1st weeding). Data was taken 10, 20, 30 and 45 days after application (DAA). The lowest weed control efficiency was recorded in untreated control. Glyphosate @ 3 kg/ha, glyphosate 71 SG (Market sample) @ 3 kg/ha and glyphosate 41 SL @ 3 l/ha were effective for weed control at all stages of weeds in non-cropped area as compared to standard check and control.
