Abstract
The binary model of reality being proposed here relies on the definition of contrast, the definition of complexity and the principle of parsimony (Ockham’s razor). Indeed, the key difference between this model and the existing ones (big bang, string theory, parallel universes, universe as cellular automaton, computer, computer program, autosimulation, hologram etc.) is its simplicity. It is not only simpler than the existing models, but it is also the simplest theoretically possible model that is able to account for all levels of the universe’s complexity. Therefore, it is the simplest and simultaneously the most complex model (in accordance with the Abstract Definition of Complexity). By considering reality at its most basic (binary) level, it is possible to harmonise and define fundamental philosophical and physical concepts.
