Abstract
Following the software defined radio architecture, an implementation solution of frequency hopping communication system based on FPGA is proposed, which combines QPSK modulation with frequency hopping technology. QPSK modulation and frequency hopping are implemented at transmitter meanwhile frequency hopping synchronization and QPSK demodulation are implemented at receiver. Spectrum analysis algorithm are adopted at receiver for frequency hopping capture and early-late gate synchronization algorithm for frequency hopping synchronization. The correctness and feasibility of the solution are verified by simulation. The simulation results show that the system has quick frequency hopping capture, high precision for frequency hopping synchronization and lower bit error rate. Compared with the traditional frequency hopping communication system, the system is more flexible and easier to implement.
