Abstract
This chapter focuses on the different infectious diseases and nutritional deficiencies among infants, preschool children and school children. Among the infectious diseases noted include pneumonia, diarrhoea, malaria, measles, human immunodeficiency virus infection and helminthoses. Nutritional disorders observed among infants and children are malnutrition, stunting, anaemia, iodine deficiency, vitamin A deficiency and overweight.
