Abstract
In this paper, We introduce Yager’s ranking function to symmetric triangular fuzzy numbers. The main objectives of this paper is to introduce fuzzy transportation problem with symmetric triangular fuzzy numbers. An arithmetic operations on symmetric triangular fuzzy number is performed and based on this we obtain an initial basic feasible solution. The solutions are illustrated with suitable example.
