Abstract
The Corrected Block TEA known as XXTEA is a symmetric Block cipher which is as fast as DES. This cipher has got a simple structure compared to DES. Some experiments have shown that XXTEA is susceptible to related key attack. This Paper proposes a technique to enhance the security of XXTEA by coupling it with a chaotic system. This cipher has been tested on both text files and images. This cipher is more secure, and achieves the idea behind one time pad. It has the flexibility to work with different block sizes of plaintext. It is fast in operation and precise in restoration.
