Abstract
The characteristic of Transient Recovery Voltage includes Peak Amplitude & Rate of Rise of Restriking Voltage which significantly affects operation of the circuit breaker to interrupt fault current successfully. The paper intends to analyze the Transient Recovery Voltage characteristics across circuit breaker of line with the topology of series compensation. The paper also investigates impact of different factors such as fault type & fault distance on characteristics of Transient Recovery Voltage.
