Nacionalistická mobilizace v zemích západního Balkánu

Using fuzzy set qualitative comparative analysis, this thesis examines which conditions were necessary and/or sufficient for success or failure of the nationalist party mobilization in the Western Balkans (and Slovenia) in past two decades. In other words, it tries to identify different causal paths leading to these outcomes. Potential factors affecting the success of nationalist mobilization were identified using theories of social movements – the theory of political opportunity structure, framing theory, and resource mobilization theory. In particular, the attention was paid to four conditions: proportionality of the electoral system, electoral opportunity structure, discursive opportunity structure and the mobilization of organizational resources.
