Abstract

In this book, theory and practical knowledge of heterocyclic chemistry for UG, PG and research students who wish to choose a heterocyclic chemistry in their research careers are presented. The study introduces green chemistry approach, synthesis & characterization of cyanopyrimidine and xanthene derivatives which are synthesized by very simplest method, and step wise information about column chromatography. This book will provide great knowledge of the synthesis, properties, reactions and their mechanisms and applications of heterocyclic compounds. Efforts have been made to include recent developments in heterocyclic chemistry and the subject is presented in an easy and lucid manner, so that those who have some background knowledge of heterocyclic chemistry can understand it well. We are proud of the quality of all of the chapters in this book, all written by our team. We are proud to have been joined in this effort by the some leading authorities in this area, all of whom have made important contributions in the area of synthesis and purification techniques whose collaboration made this book possible.
