Weed Science and Weed Research in Bangladesh

Abstract
The history of Weed Science in Bangladesh along with gradual development has been described. Major findings in weed research on different crops, development of different weed control equipment, present status of course and curriculum on weed science in different universities, need for weed act and legislation etc. have been narrated. The impacts of weed on socio-economy of the country, major weed species and their severity under different crops are also included.
