Efficiency of technological innovation in China’s high tech industry based on DEA method

Abstract

The level of technological innovation efficiency of high-tech industry affects the industrial structure and industrial competitiveness of high-tech industry. Based on the characteristics of high-tech industry, this paper constructs the evaluation index system of technological innovation efficiency of high-tech industry from two aspects: input and output, and selects the high-tech industry data from 2008 to 2014 as the sample, and using the data envelopment analysis (DEA) of 28 provincial regions in China analysis and evaluation of the efficiency of high tech industry. The results show that the efficiency of technological innovation in China’s high-tech industry is low, but it is rising year by year, and the low utilization rate of innovation resources is the main reason for the low efficiency. On this basis, puts forward some suggestions to improve the efficiency.
