TAXONOMIC STUDY OF TRIBE HOMOEOCERINI AMYOT AND SERVILE (HETEROPTERA COREIDAE) FROM INDO-PAKISTAN SUBCONTINENT

Forty nine species belonging to 6 genera of 2 tribes of the subfamily coreinae leach including one new genus and three new species with eight species newly recorded form various localities of Indo-Pakistan subcontinent are described in detail with special references to metathoracic scent gland complex, male and female genitalia. Two species of Distant (1908) of the genus Aschistocoris Bergroth (i.e. A. sulcatus and A. nepalensis) are transferred to the genus anhomoeus of anhomoeini Hsiao, a recently established tribe. Two species of the genus Homoeocerus Burmeister i.e. H. Simiolus Distant 1902 and H. striicornis Scott 1874 are transferred to new genus Muzafferiana Ahmad and Perveen. All the above taxa including the new ones are compared with their most closely related allies and keys to their tribes, genera and species are formulated on the basis of the above more reliable distinctive and consistent characters, which help readily identify the above taxa. Characters of taxonomic importance are also breify described to help understand these characters. \n \nThe type species of the genera Homoeocerus Burmeister i.e. H. puncticornis (Burmeister) from Philippine and anhomoeus Hsiao i.e. A. fusiformis Hsiao form china are also included in order to develop a clear understanding of the respective genera. A cladistic analysis of the above taxa are also presented with the help of a cladogram
