The Beginning of Mass Mobilization in Galicia: Between Agricultural Strikes and the Struggle for Electoral Reforms

This article focuses on the participation of the Catholic clergy inmass rallies that were part of agricultural strikes and struggles for electoral reforms. I analyze the role and behavior of two religious groups: the Greek Catholic and the Roman Catholic clergy and laity during the period of 1902 to 1907. This period includes two important events: the agricultural strikes of 1902 and the preparation for the universal suffrage reformin 1907, both of which may provide insights into the mass mobilization in the perspective of longue durée.
