Abstract

The mechanisms of hydrogen sulfide utilization and accumulation of hydrogen sulfide in Thiocystis sp. Ya 2006 cells were investigated. The intensity of hydrogen sulfide using dependes on its quantity in the medium. The light intensity 1000 lx and high hydrogen sulfide concentration made the positive influence on hydrogen sulfide utilization by the cells. The maximum of sulfur accumulation was observed after six days of cultivation. The light intensity and hydrogen sulfide content in the medium have regulated the accumulation of sulfur in bacteria cells. When hydrogen sulfide was used from the medium, sulfur globules lost their protein membrane and then sulfur was used in the process of anoxic photosynthesis as electron donor.
