Skeptical Faith as an Aspect of Conscious Life

Abstract
The paper compares John.Schellenberg's skeptical religion with Dieter Henrich's philosophy of religion, which offers another alternative to scientism, naturalism and analytic materialism that have taken over the mainstream of occidental philosophy. Henrich's alternative to the physicalist explanation of the world is not a religious ultimism but an idealist theory of subjectivity that withstands physicalist reductionism.
