The Design and Construction of the Bartletts Ferry Labyrinth Weir Spillway

Marvin C. Meeks

Open publisher page 2 citations

Abstract

The discharge capacity of the Bartletts Ferry Project has been increased 165 percent by the addition of a labyrinth weir spillway. The hydraulic design was based on a published design procedure which was modified by means of small scale hydraulic models. These model studies revealed the significance of the vertical aspect ratio as a critical design parameter. The structural design and various aspects of construction are briefly described.
