Abstract

Patients at risk for blunt cerebrovascular injury (BCVI) to the carotid or vertebral arteries must be screened. Earlier studies demonstrated that four-vessel cerebral angiography (4-VCA), a difficult and time-consuming procedure, has superior diagnostic accuracy to helical computed tomographic angiography (hCT-A; JWEM Dec 30 2002).
