Abstract
Serum Adenosine Deaminase level was determined in 50 cases of pulmonary tuberculosis. Mean serum ADA level 63.8 ± 10.03 U/L was found to be significantly higher as compared to extra pulmonary and non-tubercular cases, 32.8 ± 8.11 U/L, 16.78 ± 5.9 U/L. Therefore ADA level can be used as diagnostic marker with reasonable accuracy in suspected cases of pulmonary tuberculosis.
