Abstract
Abstract This chapter focuses on the effects of light, temperature, wind speed and relative humidity in determining the extent to which cherry can be grown in a particular environment. The importance of microclimate modification in cherry production, such as the use of orchard covers, and its effects on plant development, fruit production, pests and diseases and fruit quality are also discussed.
