Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out the optimum design parameters of an axial flow cyclone dust collector. This cyclone dust collector was developed as new intake hood with the function of air cleaner for house ventilation system. Ordinary air cleaner using of filter has the problem of filter maintenance, therefore, the cyclone dust collector has no its problem. However, a conventional cyclone dust collector is not fit for an intake hood because of its large size, long cone shape and high pressure loss. This new axial flow cyclone dust collector, which is compact and has high capture rate and low pressure loss, will be useful in solving these problems.
