Results of pathogenic monitoring of influenza in Chenzhou City in 2006-2008.

Abstract

Objective To understand the epidemic situation and the distribution of types of nfluenza virus.Methods Swabs samples were collected from Influenza-like cases and influenza virus was isolated MDCK cells and identified.Results A total of 3124 throat swab specimens were collected from 4 sentinel hospitals in three years,of which 383 strains were positive for influenza virus.The positive rate of isolation was 10.82%.After identifying by NIC,76 strains were influenza A-H1N1,181 influenza A-H3N2,105 influenza B virus,and 21 strains were not identified.Altogether 78 throat swab specimens were collected in the influenza outbreaks.The positive rate of isolation was 50.00%.Of the 39 strains,5 strains were influenza A-H3N2,32 strains were influenza B virus,2 strains were influenza A-H1N1.Conclusions There are influenza infection throughout 2006-2008 in Chenzhou City.
