Abstract

The results of simultaneous satellite and ground-based measurements of the parameters of the ionospheric plasma and fluxes of electrons with E > 0.8 keV in the evening and night regions of the magnetosphere during two successive magnetic storms from November 17 to 24, 1970, are analyzed. The possibility is discussed of the anomalous heating of the subauroral ionosphere by particles precipitation during the dissipation of DR currents. 10 references.
