Abstract
The study was designed to investigated exposure assessment of preschool children to environmental cadmium, by direct and indirect assessment method. We established that cadmium concentrations in environment are very high in compartment with literature data, and that have great influence on biological concentrations. Data suggest that children are exposed to very high cadmium levels from birth and that established concentrations in their bodies present health risk. Therefore it is important to continue with this study to confirm health status of investigated children.
