Abstract
Communication in the nanoscale is subject to different physical conditions compared to macroscale. This arises the need for constructing alternative communication methods, suitable for the conditions and applications in the desired scale. As one of these methods, molecular communication via diffusion conveys information by utilizing messenger molecules as the information carrier in the channel, rather than using electromagnetic waves. In this method, the messenger molecules propagate randomly and omnidirectionally, and the receiver estimates the transmitted information from the received molecules. In the literature, the distance between the transmitter and the receiver is considered to be constant throughout the whole communication process, and communication protocols are established according to this scenario. However, mobility of the transmitter and receiver may change channel parameters, which would affect the error performance of communication. This paper considers the statistical analysis of the channel parameters of mobile transmitter and receiver systems employing molecular communication via diffusion.
