Abstract

This paper deals with the Active Isolation System using MR Fluid. Isolation system is a one of technologies to protect buildings against earthquakes. This technology provides abilities that vibration of earthquake doesn't transfer to buildings with isolation layer between buildings and ground. In this report, the performance of FFF, which we proposed in the previous report, is evaluated and we suggest the functionalized isolation system using FFF. This system realizes to control actively the vibration transmissibility of isolation layer. Furthermore, we evaluate the performance of building restoration method using FFF.
