Abstract

Although many wind power plants have been development in Japan, almost no effort has been taken in wind turbine performance measurment due to complex terrain. Actually, IEC standard on performance neasurement is hard to apply to Japanise complex terrain tites. Aiming at developing an advanced wind turbine performance evaluation method that shall be capable to apply to Japan, this paper describes a condideration on defining "complex terrain" suported by CFD thchinique, numerical site calibration and procedure of wind turbine power performance measurement. This work is also expected tomake contribution to the improvement of IEC standard and JIS standard.
