Abstract

Centaurea saccensis, a new species endemic to Sicily is described and illustrated here. It\nbelongs to the Centaurea cineraria group and is confined to the Tardara Gorges, near Sciacca\ntown (SW-Sicily). The differences with the related taxa are discussed.
