แขนงของเสนประสาท median ในตนแขน

โดยปกตเสนประสาท median เปนเสนประสาททจะทำใหแขนงประสาทไปเลยงปลายแขนและมอ ไมพบวามแขนงสงไปเลยงสวนตนแขน แมวาบางกรณจะพบวาเสนประสาท median ใหแขนงเชอมกบเสนประสาท musculocutaneous จากการศกษาศพอาจารยใหญจำนวน 64 ศพ มจำนวนแขนทงหมด 128 ขาง พบแขนขางซายจำนวน 2 ขาง(รอยละ 1.56) ทเสนประสาท median แตกแขนงประสาทในตนแขนไปเลยงกลามเนอ coracobrachialis กลามเนอ biceps brachii และกลามเนอ brachialis โดยมแขนงหนงทอดตวอยระหวางกลามเนอ biceps brachii และกลามเนอ coracobrachialis แลวผานทะล deep fascia ระหวางกลามเนอ biceps และกลามเนอ brachioradialis ทระดบขอศอกออกมาเปนเสนประสาท lateral antebrachialcutaneous Generally, the median nerve has no branch in the axilla or arm. It passes directly into the forearm and hand and sends branches to supply most structures in these region, and often communicates with the musculocutaneous nerve. In 64 cadavers and their 128 arms studied, median nerve sending branches to supply coracobrachialis, biceps brachii and brachialis muscles was found in two left hand(1.56%). There is one branch lying between biceps and brachialis muscle and piercing the deep fascia between biceps and brachioradialis as the lateral antebrachial cutaneous nerve.
