Abstract
Heat exchanger is the equipment used for heat transfer between two or more fluids . As a tool for the exchange of heat from the fluid with a high temperature fluid to the low temperature , a heat exchanger is expected to have a heat transfer coefficient ( Uc ) as appropriate . Theoretically increase in the flow rate will lower the price of the heat transfer coefficient ( Uc ) itself . From this phenomenon , wants to study the influence of fluid velocity of heat to the heat transfer coefficient ( Uc ) at a Shell and Tube Heat Exchanger . The result showed that the increased rate of hot fluid at a temperature of hot fluid entry is kept constant , the heat transfer coefficient ( Uc ) decreases.
