Results pertaining to a large number of ternary systems containing the rare earths and the d-transition metals are presented.The studies made include establishment of phase relationships and determination of bulk magnetic properties and the dependence of resistivity on temperature.The studies indicate that the rare earth interaction is insensitive to the magnetic nature of the other component in the system.Reversal of the anisotropy in a number of R Co compounds was achieved by alloying.Attempts DISCLAIMERThis report was prepared as an account of work sponsored by an agency of the
