Abstract
Vitex of verbena plant arbors or shrub, about 2eng50 species, mainly in tropical and temperate regions, China has 14 species, 7 subspecies, three kinds of primary produced in the south of the Yangtze River. In our country there are seven kinds of medicinal, namely: Vitex canescens, Vitex negundo,Vitex trifolia,Vitex rotundifolia, Vitex agnus-castus,Vitex peduncularis and Vitex quinata. Modern pharmacological studies have shown that some plants of the genus or its components have analgesic, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, anti-tumor, inhibit lymphocyte and hormone regulation, anti-oxidation, molting, deworming and other effects. Vitex contained in the chemical composition of the type of plant is rich, in the main phenolic constituents are flavonoids, phenylpropanoid compounds such as class and organic acids. In this paper, Vitex anti-tumor effects of plant extracts are summarized as follows:
