Abstract

A review of natural gas liquefaction and measurement in custody transfer covers the four segments of a natural gas liquefaction plant, i.e., gas cleanup, liquefaction (cold box section), storage, and docking or loading facilities; processes for liquefaction and handling before and after the liquefaction treatment; required transportation functions, e.g., cargo tank cleaning before and after LNG storage; and the dependence of LNG measurement on temperature, density, and volume, necessitating sampling, proving, and calculating at every production and transportation procedure.
