Abstract

Oil characteristics of the seeds of Cassia alata L.(Dadmordon) were studied. After purification physical and chemical characteristics of the oil were determined and these values were compared with those of the standard oils. Fatty acid compounds of the oil were estimated by GLC. The ash, protein, phosphorus, potassium, nitrogen, sodium, calcium and magnesium contents of the cake were also determined.
