Abstract

Measurements were made of the heat capacity of UOTe in the range from 21.2 to 362.0 deg K. The heat capacity curve rose to a maximum value of about 19.5 cal mole/sup -1/ deg/sup -1/ at 159.7 deg K and then fell rapidly on the high-temperature side showing a pronounced lambda-type anomaly of magnetic origin. Thermodynamic functions were calculated from heat capacity data. (M.C.G.)
