Abstract

The toxicity of 6 insecticides including 2 new neonicotinoid and 4 commercialized compounds to the 3rd instar nymphs of Laodelphax striatellus(Fallen) were tested(in the laboratory) with rice seedlings-dipped.The results showed that the toxicity in descending turn was SXSN001,thiamethoxam,SXSS001,imidacloprid,chlorpyrifos and pymetrozine. The combined synergism of chlorpyrifos with pymetrozine or thiamethoxam was also tested with the same method, which indicated that the two mixtures had remarkable synergistic effect in mix proportion of 9:20 or 16:1,respectively. When chlorpyrifos mixed with pymetrozine, the common-toxicity coefficient(CTC) and the corrected toxicity ratio(CTR) were 238.77and 1.28 respectively, while 201.12 and 1.74 respectively when chlorpyrifos with thiamethoxam.
