Abstract
Changing some experimental techniques, the DTA analysis of a kaolinite containing clay shows significant exothermic behaviors. The regions of so called 1 st and 2 nd exotherms resolve into more peaks. In the high temperature region, mullitization peaks become much pronounced in comparison to low intensity of 2 nd exotherm noted usually in earlier literature. In total, Bhandak kaolinite exhibits three endotherms and five exotherms.
