Abstract

This research empirically analysis the effect of Poverty, Unemployment and Economic Growth to Human Development Index (HDI) in West Sumatra over period 2011-2014. This study used panel data analysis. The data obtained from Central Bureau of Statistics, other sources that in research result and journals. The result show that Poverty (POV), Unemployment (UNP) and Economic Growth (GRWT) are significantly and negative effect on Human Development Index (HDI) in West Sumatra. Coefficient of determination (R2) value is 0.999. It means 99.9% variation of independent variables (Poverty, Unemployment, Economic Growth) influenced on Human Development Index in West Sumatra period 2011-2014. \nKeywords: HDI, Poverty, Unemployment, Economic Growth, Panel Data, OLS, FEM
