Abstract
Selected cross sections along Goodwin Creek channel, northern Mississippi, have been surveyed a total of twenty-one times since 1977 to document channel adjustments. Initial results of this study, presented at the Third and Fourth International Symposia on River Sedimentation, documented the magnitudes of bed and bank volume changes along this channel and the temporal and spatial variability of such changes. This report further explores relations between channel morphology and bank changes. Results indicate two levels of control, one involving channel sinuosity and the other involving within-channel thalweg sinuosity.
