Abstract

The active interest and objective of the ALIA Association to regulate internet content in Australia and promote the free flow of information and ideas in the interests of all Australians is outlined. The results from the online survey conducted in June 2008 demonstrated the vital infrastructure provided by public libraries for Australia's digital future and addresses the need for equitable community access to online information.
