Abstract
The biocontrol agents (Pasteuria penetranx and Trichoderma viride) and botanicals (neem and castor cakes) were evaluated either singly or in combination (at 1/2 and 1/3 of the dosages) for the management of root-knot nematode. M. incognita, infecting tomato under glasshouse conditions. Combined application of R penetrans, TI viride and neem or castor cake at 1/3rd dosages was significantly superior compared to their .individual applications in terms of increased plant growth and reduced root galling, egg mass production and final populations of M. incognita. Similarly, total parasitisation by bioagents was higher in plants treated with these treatments, in terms of number of juveniles encumberred and adult females infected with the bacterium, and egg masses parasitised by T viride, compared to their individual applications.
