Protection Options of a Commercial Insurance Company within the Insurance Relationship: an Introduction to the Issue

This paper deals with protection options of a commercial insurance company within the insurance relationship. The aims of this paper are to define these options, carry out their systematization and reflect on their importance. The paper only contains a theoretical part and it should be perceived as a philosophic introduction to this issue. The methods of analysis, deduction and synthesis are used in the paper. It is possible to specify the following protection options of an insurer: repudiation of cover, exclusions, deductible, indemnity limit, probation period, waiting period, indemnity cutback and repudiation of claim. All these options are defined in the paper.
